Trump Reportedly Rejects Iran's Hormuz Plan — What Happens to Oil Now?

Oil traders went home Friday betting on diplomacy. Brent crude fell more than two percent, settling near one hundred four dollars, on hopes of a U.S.-Iran path to reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

After the close, the story flipped. Reuters reports Iran says its proposal could reopen Hormuz and pause regional fighting within seven days — but the Wall Street Journal reported President Trump rejected the plan, while Iran says it's still waiting on an official U.S. response.

Before the war, about one-fifth of the world's oil supply moved through Hormuz. The first crude trade after the weekend is the test: does oil snap back higher, or do traders keep betting a deal is still possible?
