Chip Stocks Collapse as Oil Explodes 4% | Fed Decision & Big Tech Earnings Today

Oil spiked overnight after the U.S. military said it intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile attack on American troops in the Middle East. WTI jumped roughly 4% to around $82 a barrel and Brent neared $87, snapping its steepest three-day slide since April 2020. U.S. and Saudi forces also struck weapons sites in eastern Iraq. #Oilprices #Energy

Stocks split hard. The Dow surged 537 points to 52,747, the S&P 500 added 0.2% to 7,428, and the Nasdaq slipped 0.2% to 24,877 — a fifth straight down day.
