⛽ OIL: WTI futures near $83 (-6%), Brent near $89 (-7%). Futures, not settlements. Risk: the pause breaks.
📈 EQUITIES: S&P 500 futures +0.9%, Nasdaq 100 futures +1.5%, small caps +1%. VIX 17.6. Friday's S&P close: 7,412. Travel led premarket — Delta +2.6%, American +3%, Royal Caribbean and Carnival +3.2%. Producers fell — Occidental -3.8%, Exxon -2.6%. Marvell and Micron each +3%.
₿ CRYPTO: Ether ~$1,955 (+4%), Bitcoin ~$65,200 (+1.2%), Solana and XRP +1-2%. BTC dominance 58.6% — selective rotation, not a broad altcoin move.
🥇 GOLD: Holding near $4,095 spot. Bonds firmed, dollar weakened.
🏛️ FED: Meeting Tuesday and Wednesday, decision Wednesday afternoon under Chair Kevin Warsh. Rates 3.50%-3.75%. Futures priced roughly a 1-in-3 hike chance on energy inflation — cheaper oil eases that.
📊 EARNINGS: Microsoft and Meta Wednesday. Apple and Amazon Thursday, plus Q2 growth data and the Fed's preferred inflation gauge.
🎯 Capital is rotating out of energy producers toward travel, small caps, and tech — on a ceasefire two days old. Watch oil first, the Fed second.
