Meta Rallies 6.5% While the S&P Falls — Inside Muse, Meta's New AI Agent
Meta jumped 6.5% Wednesday while the S&P 500 dropped. The catalyst was Muse — Meta's new AI agent that can send emails, book travel, fill out forms, and make purchases with user approval.
Why investors cared: Meta expects AI infrastructure spending to exceed $130 billion this year. Muse attaches paid subscriptions to that spending, giving the market a clearer way to judge whether the buildout can actually produce revenue.
The contradiction is the interesting part. The S&P 500 fell roughly 0.5% as oil topped $100 and Treasury yields climbed. Meta rallied straight through it.
The next test is adoption: will people trust Muse enough to use it — and pay for it?
